Method 2: Transfer Android Photos to PC via Google Photos

Google has an app that is made to store and backup your photos from any device and it is Google Photos.

Once you create a Google account and link it on your phone, you can then download Google Photos and back up your images. Afterward, you can use the same account to log in on your computer, access Google Photos, and download the pictures from there.

Keep in mind, you can only use 15GB of free storage to store files, if your data exceeds this limit, you can purchase additional storage.

Step 1

On the Google Photos app, tap your Profile picture or Initial on the top side corner. Select Photo Settings then turn on Backup.

Method 3: Transfer Photos From Android to PC via Bluetooth

If you’re transferring just a couple of photos, Bluetooth is a good option to use. You can directly connect both devices and send the images right away. But, I would not recommend Bluetooth for sending bulk photos due to the slow process.

Also, not all PCs are installed with Bluetooth. If your computer doesn’t have it but you still want to try out this method, you may purchase a Bluetooth adaptor.

Step 1

Press the Windows button + I to launch Settings. Then click Bluetooth and Devices > Send and Receive files via Bluetooth > Receive Files.

Step 4

Allow the file transfer by confirming the notification on your PC screen. The process will then start after that. When it’s done, you can assign or create a folder to store your images.

Method 4: Transfer Android Photos to PC via USB Cord

If using an app or program is a hassle for you, then try transferring photos from Android to PC using a USB cord. You just need to allow the transferring of files on your phone and you can export files on the PC.

But remember, direct transfers like this may affect your data. Android and Windows have different image formats, and there’s a chance that after the transfer, your photos might get corrupted. Although this rarely happens, it’s best to know the pros and cons before trying out something.

Step 1

Connect your Android phone to the computer using a USB cord. After that, choose Transfer files.

Step 2

On your computer, go to This PC and click your device name. From there, locate and select the folder where your photos are stored. Right-click on your mouse and choose Copy or Cut (this will delete the images on the phone).
