Video conferencing wins people’s hearts for its excellent convenience that it enables colleagues and partners to get together and conduct business events though they are not in the same room, city, country, or continent.
Assuming that
- A video meeting is so important that you don’t want to miss any decisions made during the meeting, you can record it for later review.
- Or you’re having an online lecture, you can record the whole lesson to keep up with schoolwork.
To record a meeting is not difficult since many video conference apps offer a simple in-app recording tool. But a professional meeting recorder will be a better choice.
In this tutorial, you will learn some information about the in-app meeting recording feature and how you can record a meeting with a powerful meeting recorder.
Why you shouldn’t use the in-app meeting recording features
Many video conference apps allow users to record a meeting with in-app tools. You can simply start recording a meeting by clicking the related button which is always labeled REC, Record, Start Recording, and anything alike.
However, most in-app recording features are flawed in all means.
For instance:
- In most applications, only the organizer of the meeting has the access to the built-in meeting recorder. Regular attendees are not allowed to do that unless the host gives you permission.
- Every participant of the meeting will be notified when you’re recording the meeting with the in-app tool.
- Also, if you want to record a call on Skype or some other programs, the output file will only be stored in the cloud storage, you need to download it afterward.
- When you try to record a GoToMeeting or Zoom conversation, you need to convert the footage into a video with a compatible format.
To have a better experience of recording your meeting, you can apply to a professional meeting recorder so that no matter you are a host or not, you can always record the meeting without any restriction.
