Resetting an Android phone is one solution to many problems. If you’re experiencing system issues, glitches on your phone, virus infection, and more, Factory Reset can help you out.
This method is also commonly used for unlocking phones if you ever forgot your password. But most of us know that the Factory Reset can be accessed through the phone settings. And if your phone is locked, it would be impossible to do it.
But don’t lose hope! There are still other ways to reset an Android phone when locked. We listed some of the solutions we found on this page!
Before you proceed here’s an important reminder. The following methods will delete all of your data and reset your phone back to default.

Solution 1: Use Google Find My Device to Reset an Android Phone when Locked
When you lose your Android phone the Google Find My Device feature can help you track its location. But it’s not the only thing that this feature can do. It can also remotely reset your device even if it’s locked.
Keep in mind that to use this feature, an active Google account should be logged in on the phone. The Android device also needs to be connected to a WIFI network or mobile data.
Step 1
Access the Find My Device page and log in with the Google account used on the locked phone.
Step 2
Select the Erase option. And provide the necessary requirements for verification.

After a few minutes, the reset is done and your device will be unlocked. You can then restart your Android phone and start to set it up again.
When all the data is erased, you can restore them from your Google backup files easily.

Next, then press and hold the Volume Up and Power buttons for 6 to 8 seconds.
Then do the same with the Volume Down and Power buttons.
