Factory Reset iPhone without iTunes and iCloud Password
To begin with, download and install 4uKey on your computer. Then, launch this app and choose to Remove Apple ID.
Unlock the iPhone and connect it to the computer via a USB cable as prompted. Connection succeeded, click Start Remove to proceed.
Next, we have different steps to follow depending on the operating system on your iPhone. (You may go to iPhone – Settings – General – About to find out the exact detail)
Case 1: If your iPhone is running iOS 11.3 or below
On your iPhone, go to Settings – General – Reset – Reset All Settings to manually reset the system settings on your tablet.
During this process, 4uKey will detect the real-time status of the device and start to do a complete factory reset. In just a few minutes, all data and the Apple ID will be removed from your iPhone.
Case 2: If your iPhone is running iOS 11.4 or later
4uKey will ask you if this iPhone has a screen lock or not, click Yes, or if there isn’t, go to iPhone – Settings – Face ID & Password to create one.
Then, it asks if the Two-factor authentication is on, click Yes again or go to Settings – Apple ID – Password & Security to turn it on.
Click Download to get the specific firmware for the factory reset.
Click Start Remove once the download is done. 4uKey will start to factory reset your iPhone.
When the factory reset is done, we still have one extra step to make sure this iPhone is useful. Start your iPhone and set it up.
When it comes to the Activation Lock screen and asks you to unlock via Apple ID and password, ignore that. Locate the Unlock with Password option and choose to Use Device Passcode.
Enter the previous screen lock passcode of this iPhone to disable this Activation lock screen. Done! You’re free to get into and use this iPhone. Log into your Apple ID and enjoy it!
Bonus: Factory Reset Your iPhone without iCloud Password & Screen Passcode
If both the Apple ID password and the screen lock passcode (or this is a disabled iPhone) of this iPhone are out of your hand, well, you still have one way out. It’s just you can’t have a full-featured iPhone though.
This is how it works:
- Reset your iPhone incompletely with iTunes to turn on the Activation lock;
- Bypass the Activation lock screen by jailbreaking.
You can still get into the iPhone and have fun with most of its features like downloading apps and purchasing items from Apple Store. But you are likely unable to use iCloud and insert a Sim card.
It may sound frustrating, well, it’s the only way out though. Try to take it. In fact, you can connect the jailbroken iPhone to Wifi and download apps. As for the backup, Google Backup will be great.
To wrap up, I think this will be a good solution if you have nothing but the iPhone itself.
