Before starting, make sure your iPhone is locked by a screen passcode and you know the digits. If there isn’t one, go to your iPhone Settings to Create one.
- Follow this path: Settings – Face ID & Password – Add Screen Passcode.
Next, check if the Two-factor Authentication is enabled here: Settings – Apple ID(Your name) – Password & Security – Two-factor Authentication to turn it on.
Launch 4uKey on your computer and on the program interface, hit Unlock Apple ID to start.
Connect your iPhone to the machine via a USB cable.
Next, click Yes twice on the following two screens when 4uKey asks you if this iPhone has a screen lock and Two-factor Authentication enabled.
Next, 4uKey will list the precautions for the following erase process:
- All data will be erased;
- The iOS version will be updated to the latest one.
Hit Next to start.
Now, if your iPhone is running iOS 11.3 and below, you need to unlock your iPhone and go to Settings – General – Reset – Reset All Settings. This will restore all the iPhone settings to the original and 4uKey will detect your iPhone settings. It will start to erase your iPhone at the same time.
If your iPhone is running the latest iOS, you may click on the Download button on the 4uKey interface to get the firmware for erase.
Then, when the download is done, hit Start Removal to allow 4uKey to delete all the data from your iPhone.
In just a few minutes, the erase will be done and everything on your iPhone will be wiped out. You can launch your iPhone and check again.
During the setup, you still need to do one more thing: when it comes to the Activation Lock scree, choose to Unlock with Passcode and enter the previous passcode. Then, this lock screen will disappear.
