How to Bypass FRP with Samsung Keyboard

FRP or Factory Reset Protection is an incredibly useful built-in security feature for Android phones, including Samsung ones, with OS version 5.1 and above. It automatically gets activated when you register a Google account on your Samsung phone.

While it’s a good feature to have, it can be pretty problematic if you reset the phone and forget the Google account linked to it. FRP could also block Custom Binary.

Well, rumor has it that forgetting your Google account is not a big deal as you can easily bypass FRP with Samsung keyboard. But does that trick really work? If not? What else can you do? Find out and read on!

FYI: Can You Bypass FRP with Samsung Keyboard

No. Samsung keyboard is pretty airtight and doesn’t have any loopholes we can exploit when it comes to bypassing FRP. Even if you are able to trick the keyboard into opening the keyboard settings, there’s really nothing there that can get you to the main Settings.

Especially with the regular security patches on Samsung devices these days, the Samsung keyboard becomes more impervious to bypass attempts. So, if someone is telling you the Samsung keyboard is all you need, that’s not true, at least nowadays.

But don’t worry. There are still 2 alternative ways for you to bypass FRP on Samsung

Alternative 1: Bypass FRP on Samsung with Google Keyboard

This method works by using the Google Keyboard to get to access the main settings and enabling OEM Unlocking. However, this can only be viable if you’ve previously set Google Keyboard as the default keyboard or if your Samsung phone has it by default.

Step 1

Next to the Samsung Welcome Screen, select your preferred Language and then connect to the WIFI.

Step 2

After that, just continue accomplishing the tasks on the screen until you come across the Google FRP login screen. Tap the email or password box to pop the keyboard up there.

Step 3

On the keyboard, look for the “@” symbol and then tap and hold it to launch the Keyboard Settings. Then, select the Google Keyboard.

Step 4

In there, tap on the 3-dot option and select “Help & Feedback”. Proceed to the Help tab afterward and tap on the option that says “Using Google Keyboard”.

Step 5

Then, tap and hold on to any text you can find there until a series of options appear. Just tap on the one that says “Websearch”. A search bar will pop up. Type “Settings” onto it and confirm.

Step 6

The main Settings should be launched right away. There, proceed to About phone and go to Software Information. Then, tap on the Build Number 7 times. There should be a prompt at the bottom of the screen that says you’ve enabled the Developer Option.

Step 7

Go back to main Settings and proceed to the Developer Options below the About phone. Then, toggle on OEM Unlocking there. Tap on the back button afterward and restart your phone.

Step 8

After the restart, connect to the WIFI again. Then, proceed to the FRP login screen. If the method worked, the phone will allow you to add a new Google account. The phone should be completely bypassed right after that.

This trick has only been tested on Samsung phones. It may not work with other Android phone brands.
