It’s better to know the cause of the error first, so we can effectively use the right solutions. Here are some of them:

  • A software glitch might have occurred on your phone.
  • You might have installed/downloaded a virus app or corrupted file that affected your phone’s performance.
  • Your device might be outdated or the updating process was not finished or disrupted.
  • might have tried to manipulate the software in some way. This may have caused some systems to malfunction resulting in the boot loop error.

To solve this horrible issue, try out the solutions we listed below.

If your phone has a removable battery, you may try to remove it. This will force restart your phone and fix minor bugs.

Safe Mode will disable any third-party apps on your phone. After the Safe Mode is enabled, if the phone runs smoothly, then some app is the culprit. The example below shows you how to enter Safe Mode on a Samsung phone.

Step 1

Turn off the device.

Step 2

Press and hold the Power and the Volume Down buttons. When the Samsung logo appears, let go of the Power button.

Step 3

Keep holding the Volume Down button, and after a few moments, you should see the Safe Mode prompt on the bottom corner of the screen.

Step 5

To exit Safe Mode, simply restart your phone. After that, the boot loop error should be gone.

Method 3: Fix Android Stuck on Boot Screen via Recovery Mode

On Android devices, the Recovery Mode is a tool that can fix issues within the phone. It has a bunch of features that can be used to fix the boot loop error such as wiping the cache partition and Factory Reset. The steps for these two are listed below, check them out!

Wipe Cache Partition to Fix Android Stuck on Boot Screen

If it’s not an app, maybe a certain file or data has been causing this issue on your phone. To remove the infected file, you can perform a cache partition wipe. This will clear out all the corrupted files on your phone.

The Wipe Cache Partition feature is usually accessed through Settings. But since we can’t open the phone, we will access the feature through Recovery Mode.

Step 1

Power off your phone then press and hold the Volume Up and Power keys.

Step 2

When your phone turns on and you see the logo, release all keys. From there, use the Volume buttons to navigate and Power to select.

Step 3

Locate and select Wipe Cache Partition and follow the next prompts. After the process, the boot loop error should be resolved.

Fix Android Stuck on Boot Screen via Factory Reset

If you can’t figure out where the issue started, the best thing to do is a Factory Reset.

Performing a Factory Reset on your phone will delete all the data stored on your phone. This includes apps, media files, documents, and more. It will also restore all settings to default. The example below will work for Samsung phones.

Step 1

Enter Recovery Mode by following the process above.

Step 2

Go to wipe data/factory reset and follow the next instructions. When the process is done, all data on your phone will be wiped out and the boot loop error should be fixed.

Samsung Recovery Mode

For other phone models, you may visit your brand’s official page or contact the customer helpline to know the steps on how to enter Safe Mode, perform a cache partition wipe, or Factory Reset your phone. Here are some links.

Note: After the Factory Reset, you may encounter the Google FRP Lock. It is a part of Google’s security measures to make sure no strangers can access your phone. To unlock the FRP simply enter the email and password of the Google account used on the phone.

If you can’t remember it, there are still other ways to bypass an FRP lock on Samsung.
