The process we are about to show only works for Android 7.0 to 8.1. The steps below are a bit complicated, so make sure to follow them carefully. We used a Samsung phone in this example.
Turn on your phone and on the Startup menu, set the language to English then tap Next.
Connect to a WIFI network then go back to the Startup menu. From there, enable the Talkback feature by pressing the home button three times.
Draw an L on your screen and you should see some options appear. Check out the options and select Talkback Settings. Scroll down and tick Help & Feedback.
Next, press the home button 3 times to disable Talkback. On the search bar, type About Switch Access then hit Enter.
You should see the YouTube icon; tap on it. Play the video for a couple of seconds then press the Share icon.
From there, search for Google. Then on the search bar type in “Apex Launcher apk download” and proceed to download the app.
Enable the “Allow Unknown Sources” to proceed. Next, install and launch the app. From there, skip the first prompt, then on the next screen tap Home Screen.
You will then see your phone’s home screen and access the apps. Go to Settings then tap About Phone. Find the MIUI Version/Build Number and tap it simultaneously until you see the Developer Mode prompt.
Go back to the Settings menu and find Developer Options. Scroll down, then press and hold the OEM Unlocking option then select Enable. Exit the Settings menu and restart your phone.
When your phone turns on you will see the Startup menu, skip the WIFI and Terms prompt then tap on the Setup New option. Wait for it to load and you will see a Google sign-in screen. Follow the following prompt to set up your phone and when that’s done you should see the home screen.
And that’s it, your phone is now FRP-free!
