Part 2: How to Use Android Device Manager to Unlock a Phone
Now, if you can’t remember your password and want to use the Android Device Manager to unlock it, you will need the following:
- The credentials of the Google account used on the locked device.
- The phone must be connected to a WIFI network.
- The Location feature on the phone should be enabled.
- The device should have enough battery (50%).

Go to the Android Device Manager site and log in with your Google account.
Find and click the Erase option.
Enter your password again and confirm the warning windows.
After a few minutes, the process will be finished. All files and data will be gone including the screen lock.
Note: After resetting your phone, you may encounter the Google FRP Lock. You will need to log in using the Google account used on the phone. If you can’t remember the credentials, there are still other ways to unlock Google FRP.
